Education

The thought and knowledge of one generation pass to another and they pass through the child. The child goes to school to learn true riches of life like love for the humanity, thinking or reasoning and acting according to the situation. Education is the growth of human mind. Real education is to make a child live for others, always acting just and kindly. He should grow into a good citizen with a great administration for everything good in life.

Education is a very important part for all the students.All countries provide the education for all students. Education is divided into three parts i.e.Primary Education,Secondary Education and Higher Education.

Primary Education

Primary education is the first stage and it is compulsory for all students.Primary education is provided in schools, where the child will stay in steadily advancing classes until they complete it and move on to the secondary education. Primary education is provided by state schools run by the government and independently fees paid schools.It is generally begins when the children are four to eight years of age. The primary stage consists of classes I-V i.e. five year of duration, in 20 ststes.The major goals of Primary Education are achieving basic literacy and numeracy amongst all pupils, as well as establishing foundations in Socaial Science, Science, Geography. Children in the age group of 3-18 years for education pre-primary, primary, middle and Sr.Sec.stage.

Secondary Education

Secondary education is the final stage of compulsory students. The exact boundary between Primary education and Secondary education varies from country to country and even within them, but is generally around the seventh to the tenth year of education. Secondary education is also provided by state schools and colleges run by the government and independently fees paid. The Secondary stage consists of classes IX-X, in 19 states. Children in the age group of 19-25 years for education at Graduate and Post Graduate level including professional courses.

Higher Education

Higher level is the third stage of the education. It is also called tertiary. Tertiary education is normally taken to include undergraduate education as well as postgraduate education. Chandigarh also houses many preeminent institutes of higher learning such as Punjab University, GMCH Chandigarh, Punjab Engineering College, University Business School and some other noteable institutes are Chandigarh College of Architecture, Chandigarh college of Engineering and Technology, Institute of Microbial Technology(IMTech). But the main educational institute among these are the Punjab University, The Punjab Engineering College.

Punjab University is located in Sector 14 Chandigarh.
